The Staten Island Small Business Center hosted a panelist discussion with four prominent Staten Island Women in Business at the 25th SIEDC Business Conference on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the Hilton Garden Inn. The women discussed their secrets to their success, and some of the challenges they faced as a woman entrepreneur/business person. They provided tips for growing a business/company and how they learned to balance their busy work schedule with managing their family life.
Elina stated that "work/life balance is difficult but prioritizing and being present is essential." Kim stated "align yourself with supportive people and uplift each other" Danielle talked about the benefit of social media in promoting her business and to "delegate to a reliable source, if you are unable to do it yourself." Claire mentioned how important it is to "never give up", Each woman mentioned how important it is to compartmentalize; when you are working, maintain present with work, and when you are with your family, do the same.
